Kendriya Vidyalaya, Moradabad was established in the year 1987 near Railway Stadium in a temporary building. The Vidyalaya is run by KVS (HQ) New Delhi under the Ministry of Human Resources Development, (HRD) New Delhi.

In the admission, preference is given to the children of the Central Government employee. The Vidyalaya is running from Pre-Primary Class to class XII having 03 sections each with Science stream having 02 sections and Commerce Stream having 01 section under the civil sector. The medium of instruction is bilingual. The Vidyalaya is dedicated to the quality education and catering to the educational needs of the children of transferable Central Government employees. We strive to inculcate in our students, an awareness and belief in all moral values, a respect for the dignity of labour and hard work and prepare them to take their place in society as noble and ideal citizens.

The Vidyalaya was shifted in the new building in Railway Harthala Colony in December 2002 with two section from class I to X. The school building was inaugurated by Hon'ble Shri HM Kaire Commissioner KVS and third section was added from the year 2004-05 from class I to X. Playgrounds having Lawn Tennis, Volley Ball, Basket Ball ,Kho Kho, Badminton & Hockey are well functional and swimming pool is under construction.

TheVidyalaya is affiliated to CBSE New Delhi and NCERT books are followed by the Vidyalaya. Under the able and dynamic leadership of present Principal Sh.Mani Ram ,the Vidyalaya is progressing in all spheres of academic fields.

Situated in beautiful, verdant surroundings ,the Vidyalaya has a well designed infrastructure. Apart from well equipped computer, Science, Maths and SUPW labs, we also have an educational technology room equipped with the latest multimedia LCD projector and other equipments. Guidance and counselling is provided to the students through qualified counsellor. Games and sports, Drawing and painting, Music and Yoga are further supplemented by hobby courses like clay modelling, flower decoration and a variety of adventure activity.

Our sincere and hard working team of 55 staff members are devoted to overall development of the 1400 students on roll and their united efforts have resulted into making the Vidyalaya as one of the premiere educational institutions in the education system of India
